Our collaborator is a small artisanal woodworking workshop based in Southern Italy, specialized in high-end custom furniture made exclusively from solid wood. Each piece is handcrafted with meticulous attention to detail, combining traditional craftsmanship with modern techniques. The workshop focuses on quality over quantity, offering a fully immersive, hands-on environment where interns actively participate in real production processes alongside experienced craftsmen.
Tareas
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Preparing and organizing cut lists
- Assisting in the selection and preparation of solid wood materials
- Supporting the creation of components based on technical drawings
- Operating traditional woodworking machinery under supervision
- Assisting with CNC machining processes
- Supporting assembly and traditional joinery work
- Sanding and preparing surfaces for finishing
- Assisting in finishing processes (oils, coatings, etc.)
- Building wooden crates for packaging and international shipment
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Participating in daily workshop operations with increasing responsibility over time
- (Optional for advanced interns) Developing a personal furniture project with company support
Requisitos
- Background in woodworking or carpentry (mandatory)
- Currently enrolled in a VET program or recently graduated in a relevant field
- Basic knowledge of woodworking tools, materials, and workshop safety
- Good manual skills and strong attention to detail
- Willingness to work in a hands-on, workshop-based environment
- Motivated, reliable, and eager to learn
- Basic English skills (Italian is not required)
- Participation in Erasmus+ VET program (preferred)
- Only candidates with practical woodworking experience will be considered
Condiciones
- Hands-on experience in a professional artisanal woodworking environment
- Full exposure to the complete furniture production cycle
- Mentorship from experienced craftsmen
- Opportunity to develop and produce a personal furniture project (for highly motivated candidates)
- Project fully funded, included in the company catalog, and credited to the student
- Accommodation support provided (costs covered by the intern)
Availability and hours:
- Flexible duration depending on the Erasmus+ program
- Approximately 6 hours per day, Monday to Friday
